How we approach it
Most tiling complaints come down to what happened before the tiles went on. We check the substrate for level and movement, screed where it is needed, and set out from the most visible line in the room so the cuts land where nobody looks.
Large-format porcelain, mosaic detail, non-slip outdoor tiles around a pool — each needs a different adhesive, joint width and movement allowance. We use the right one rather than whatever is on the bakkie, which is why the grout lines stay closed a few summers later.
